Guitarist-Singer Songwriter-Film Music Composer
Art Flesh Gordon picture
Mix the dark sexiness of goth, add the glitz and sparkle of glam and
the high energy of rock and roll and you have Art Flesh Gordon.
New and refreshing and electrifying.
Born in New York, Art was raised in New Jersey by deaf parentgs and
began singing and playing guitar at an early age; influenced by
artists including Jeff Beck, David Bowie, Billy Idol, Black Sabbath
and Led Zeppelin.
In the 80s, he put together Matriarch, a band that performed at many
shows throughout the tri-state club circuit with original material;
and opened for many national acts, as well as headlining their own
shows.
Matriarch also had a song featured on the world famous Club Lamour
Rocks lp, which Art penned and was included on the Celluliod Mercenary
label; home to the Goo Goo Dolls.
Eventually Matriarch disbanded; and Art focused his talent on writing,
and composing for film. Being a film composer, is a natural
progression for Art and an ambition he has aspired to from the
beginning.
Art's music is already included in ten indie films and his songs
featured in an MTV series as well as ESPN. Besides the IMBD credits
for his work as a composer/songwriter, he is
looking forward to expanding his resume and attaining his goal to
become a world class film composer.
"To be a sought after film composer/sound designer has always been my
aspiration. I like to compare painting a picture to the music i write
using the colors of sound. I want the listener to feel the emotion,
as well as visualize the scene on the screen."
