Floof and the Time Bandits are, if nothing else, six very strange friends who enjoy playing music together; really though, when your get down to it, these six people come together to make something quite a bit more than that. The sounds of Floof and the Time Bandits are an eclectic, weird, silly, but always honest mix of folk music, indie rock, classical, jazz, and everything in between. Filled with energy for their music, the six members of Floof and the Time Bandits (who all met while studying music at the University of Northern Colorado) come from diverse musical backgrounds and hold no reservations about genre, subject matter, or even the instruments they play. They are always looking for new ways to expand what they do and bring in any different sounds they can find. Their first release – a 7 track EP titled Tales of Vagabonds – showcases accordions, flutes, dulcimers, pianos, 4 part a capella harmonies, a polka, and even a pounding Keith Moon-esque drum feature. Their catalog is growing ever more expansive, with energetic live shows bringing new tunes out constantly, and as many instruments as they can find. You can certainly doubt their sanity, but you can never doubt their passion for music.
