Rapidly becoming a household name, Taylor Pace has been called the best kept secret in the music industry by musicians and fans alike. American R&B/Soul artist Taylor Pace is a multi-instrumentalist who was born into a musical family and has deep roots in many genres. At the unripe age of 2, Taylor’s parents discovered that it was not only blood that ran through Taylor’s veins, but it was music as well. Although Taylor grew up singing and playing keyboard in his father’s church, his musical background is extensive and diversified. During his senior year in high school Taylor received the bronze medal in the NAACP's National ACT-SO competition in Contemporary Instrumental Music. During his first year at Howard University Taylor was personally selected by famed jazz bassist to be in the very first HBCU All-Star Big Band, and was the only freshman to receive this honor. While in college Taylor worked and played alongside jazz legends including Jimmy Heath, Benny Golson, Wallace Roney, Geri Allen, Eddie Henderson,Grady Tate, Charles Covington, Charlie Young, and many more. Taylor graduated from Howard University with a BA in Jazz Studies from the College of Arts and Sciences. Soon after graduating from Howard in 2008 Taylor became the keyboardist for Grammy Nominated R&B Superstar Mario. While playing with Mario Taylor performed on BET's 106&Park as well as Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and recorded a song on Mario's 3rd album Go, which was released on the European version of the album. Taylor also traveled to Russia as keyboardist form Grammy Nominated Pop and R&B Singer Mya. During the same year Taylor did a stint as keyboardist for gospel's 7 Son's of Soul, appearing on cable's longest running program "The Bobby Jones Gospel Hour". Before returning back home to Texas after living in Washington DC for awhile Taylor performed on a 10 day tour of Japan with the world reknown Howard University Jazz band. During the tour he performed in Tokyo and Nagano for the 6th Annual Nagano Jazz Festival which was televised and broadcast nationally across Japan. Since Taylor has began recording his debut album "Return of The Phoenix" he has taught himself bass, drums, and guitar and teamed up with 4 time Grammy nominated writer/producer/artist Sam "Shake" Anderson. In late 2010 Taylor helped to co-produce a record with Shake which features American Idol winner Ruben Studdard and Grammy Nominated singer Ann Nesby, which will be available in Spring of 2011. Since the beginning of 2011 Taylor has began performing shows with season 5 American Idol finalist George Huff and has just finished performing with Blues Legend and 4 time Grammy Nominee Lucky Peterson. With his highly anticipated debut album "Return of The Phoenix" set to be released in the spring of 2011, Taylor Pace is rapidly becoming a household name as well as music superstar.
