Grammy Award Winning Jazz Producer, Rob “Wacko” Hunter, (Branford Marsalis, Harry Connick Jr., Men In Black Soundtrack), is in studio finishing up with the new Rick Starmer full length CD!

Sunset Jazz Recording artist, Rick Starmer, is in the studio now, mixing down his new CD entitled, “No Such Things As Time,”with Grammy Award Winning Producer, Rob “Wacko” Hunter (Branford Marsalis, Harry Connick Jr., Men In Black Soundtrack).

Between world tours (Branford Marsalis), Grammy award winning producer and engineer, Rob “Wacko” Hunter, produces the new Rick Starmer (Sunset Jazz Recordings) album in New York State. “All of the songs on the working title, “No Such Things At A Time” was recorded this month on the stage at the historical Homer Center For The Arts in upstate New York (Cortland, New York),” says Don Lichterman, the head of Sunset Jazz (Recordings) and “the goal is to allow Rob (Hunter) to take the music by Rick (Starmer) into the studio for the final mixes, using that hall to get a particular sound he / they want for the new album.” (Don) Lichterman also says that he wants “the two (Rob Hunter and Rick Starmer) to naturally collaborate their own ways to create what will be the final product,” and “I think its brilliant that they took full advantage of the ambient sound in that old church ad what is now a historic performance arts theatre.”

“There is nothing like an old hi arched wood ceiling with stained glass to feed the creative soul and to resonate the amazing sound off the nine foot Yamaha Grand piano,” says Rick Starmer, Sunset recording artist. (Rob) Hunter is seemingly an industry veteran with over 97 credited projects as producer, mixer, engineer along with him wining a Grammy for producing Branfords (Marsalis) “, album.” (Rob) Hunter has had the opportunity to work with such popular music artists such Branford Marsalis, Harry Connick, Jr., Gov’t Mule, Testament, John Brown’s Body, Overkill, Mel Gibson, Flotsam & Jetsam and he did the producer and engineer work on the Men in Black Soundtrack CDs (Original Soundtrack CD and Bonus CD) and the Mark Twain Soundtrack CDs to name just a few projects that have helped him developed his craft in the studio.
