Bio:
Nightmare Fiction is a 5-piece Metalcore outfit from "Dead City", Florida. The band started from humble beginnings, Highschool friends Kevin Reed and Spencer Whitworth often enthused on music. Whitworth, on the market after the breakup of his previous band "Our Eyes Asunder", was offered a position to play bass in Kevin's new band. And so, the two began their epic quest to assemble a band that would shake the foundation of Pasco County. In the midst of this search, Kevin knuckle bumped Dan Jacobs of Atreyu and was blessed with superhuman guitar skills. The original lineup was assembled in late October, featuring Kevin and Spencer as Lead Guitar and Bass, as well as Justin Meeker, Josh Stringer, and Nick Oliver as Rhythm, Drums, and Vocals respectively. Unfortunately for the original lineup, Nick sucked. Kevin and Spencer left the lineup (Which Nick had aptly named "Cryptic Crusade") and began practices in Kevin's garage. Early in 2011, Kevin would invite friend and orchestra classmate Kasey Lewis to try out for drums. The initial practice went so well, that Kasey, after the first set, exclaimed "GOD WE'RE GOOD!". He officially joined the band soon after and was aptly nicknamed "Spazzy McGee", as a tribute to the movie "School of Rock". Kevin, later in the year, was bowling with a few friends when he came face to face with the most notorious pirate ever to roam Pinchasers. His name was Steven Radd. He displayed interest in the band and came in originally as a rhythm guitarist. After some minor reconsideration, Spencer decided to flip over to vocals (being a backup for Asunder), and Steven took up a bass and melted faces with his Pirate bass skills. On April 22, Cameron Kibbles, mutant overlord of the ninth dimension, came to practice to try out for rhythm guitar. After five sweaty hours of practice, Kibbles adapted to the songs with relative ease, he was gladly brought into the band behind Kevin's lead. And so, Nightmare Fiction was born.
