Yung Rell rode the late-2000 underground dirty south explosion to widespread popularity as his songs enjoyed an enormous embrace. The Austin, Tx -based rapper went from local sensation to a southern base name. Being able to display his lyrical ability without writing using the method of freestyle memorization and not using profanity, Yung Rell became a highly sought after emcee. His first major exposure came in 2005 when featured in the Musician Minds Magazine with the article about WolfPac Ent then again in 2007 in the UT (university of texas) student news article about his perform at the Lil O concert in Austin, TX. This later paid off by connecting him with underground super producers MCH, 2much of Black Tee Productions, Id Labs Productions, B Sure Productions and many more. Independently Yung Rell marketed himself and thus quickly became one of the rap underground most in-demand rappers in Texas. He’s also known for booking local talent, show promoting, hosting, managing and engineering his own music and other artists who’ve recorded at his Austin, Tx studio (District 25).
Releasing numerous mixtapes from 2006 till currently with Dj’s like, Dj Blurray (MAKEN OF A STAR), Dj J Chedda (HATED BY MANY, RESPECTED BY ALL), Dj O.K., Dj Yonnie Rich (SWAG 101: CLASS IN SESSION), Dj Trunk Banga (PRINCE OF DA CITY), Dj Tsunami (MONEY WELL SPENT VOL 1&2) and more, He has also featured on over 100 different mixtapes like The Come Up, Welcome 2 Texxus, Guttanomic Hustle, Bring It 2 Da Streets and more. Throughout his independent career he has collaborated with countless artists such as Josh Everette, Madd P, Mr. KG, Lil Sicc, Young Row, Fiend, Chalie Boy, Lil A and more. After years of hard and dedication Yung Rell had his first single featured on broadcast radio “Food For Thought” off his Same Plan Different Program mixtape in his interview with Mz Marlah 88.7fm KAZI (Dec. 2005). Since then he has had several singles premiered on broadcast and digital radio such as “Dat Wett” and “Whut It Iz” on kizzazzradio.com with Whitey Wongka, “Take A Picture” on 88.7fm KAZI with Teddy Bear, “All I Know” on WTFradio.com with speedzar.
After receiving great response from his mixtapes, he decided to work on his debut LP with local producers MCH and B Sure called The Beginning: A Star Is Born (spring 2012). The first single off the Album Make It Happen Feat Josh Everette produced by MCH received tremendous feedback from A&R Jamie Neely of Warner Brothers Records, Janiro of Southern Entertainment Awards, O “Vakseen” Davis 3 of Slip N Slide Records and many more. Currently he has release his unofficial second single “Rayful Edmond” which has fans all over embracing him as the new face of underground hip hop on dirtysouthradio.com, swurvradio.com, jango.com and others. Not only is Yung Rell an independent artist but he is the 2011 underground entrepreneur; you can find his music on digital and broadcast radio also music websites like spotlighturbanmusicmag.com, gritsandeggs.com, reverbnation.com and many more.
