- Zami is a visionary in Hip-Hop music. Born and raised in Southern California, he is also the first generation in America from Indian descent. He brings a fresh sound to the Hip-Hop industry while staying ahead of current mainstream trends. The name Zami got its origins from "DJ ZAMMY," his formal disc jockey stage name. Growing up, he managed to get himself into all sorts of juvenile situations inside and outside of school. His delinquency came to a halt when he would throw himself into writing or recording music. After high school his parents insisted he moved to Toronto, Ontario with them to get a hold on his life. This is where he took full advantage of his talent and made it into a career. Zami's music is respected and listened to not only for being catchy but also for being honest. If you listen closely, it isn't hard to tell that this artist is anything but fabricated. He is sure to bring a refreshing flavor to 2011 and onward with his combination of lyrical art containing life lessons everyone can relate to and neck-breaking club bangers. Zami is currently signed to Zupiter Entertainment LLC and working on his mixtape titled “Ears Wide Open” set to release mid 2011.
