Bio:: Who Is JayDoub? Julius Muhammad is a Hip Hop Artist who goes by the rap alias JayDoub, a name given to him by family around the age of 14. Hip-Hop& Rap is the genre of music that he has a deep passion for. JayDoub grew up listening to Biggie, 2Pac, Jay Z, Nas, DMX, and Run DMC, all east coast artists. However, growing up in Louisville, Kentucky and Atlanta, Georgia there was not a large representation of southern rappers until artist like Outkast, 8Ball, and MJG allowed him to see the southern perspective of hip Hop music and helped his understanding of uniqueness and teamwork in the music industry. JayDoub’s love of Hip-Hop and music in general has lead him to his current endeavor; his first album currently being recorded under his self created music label, Conscious Networking People, Music, & Entertainment or CNP Music Ent. for short. The title of the first project is, It’s Me and the reasoning behind the title is to let the public know that JayDoub is more than just a music aficionado, but an artist as-well. The project is scheduled to be released 1-11-11and will include up and coming artist like Checkmate, Ayse, Street Gunnaz, and also features seasoned vet and Grammy nominated artist Smoke E Digglera from the group Playa. While putting together the album JayDoub also received valuable guidance from people like R. Prophet formerly of the Grammy nominated group Nappy Roots. Taking what he learned about the industry JayDoub has been involved with several local shows and campaigns to promote CNP Music Ent. and its artist everything from live radio interviews on B96.5’s The Streets are Talking also hosted by R. Prophet to doing live concerts with artist like Gorilla Zoe, Nappy Roots, and Bobby Valentino. This debut project is leading the way for other avenues in the music business and guaranteed to put CNP Music Ent. on the map. Currently CNP consist of seven artists between Hip-Hop, R&B, and Rock and have been afforded the opportunity to spread our music throughout the south, Midwest, and parts of each coast via our own team of DJ's and producers. Most who have experience with current music or concepts with seasoned major artists. JayDoub doesn’t want to be known as just another artist from Louisville, but as an artist with true talent and potential. So much hard work and hustle has gone into the debut album that it is sure to be a certified classic and he wouldn’t want it any other way.
