One may say that this type of music has been done before…… Only extraordinary people have been able to touch people soul with music. It is one thing to make music but it is another to be able to deliver the type of sound. History would be made once Q has jump on the Hip Hop/ Island Pop / Reggae scene. Q is more than just another artist touching the stage with an island hip hop flow …. No he is the next movement that will storm the stores with the swagger of hip- hop, pure party vibes of reggae and steady uplifting emotion of island pop. This fusion will be the next thing playing in your car radio and only could be created by Q. Unlike other artist that step on the stage Q has be brought to the scene by the shared gift of music.
Q ( Kupid) Aka Dave Richards has started his movement after being in a hip hop/soca/reggae/ R&B group for 6 years. Q inspiration to music came from his parents Mother from Guyana and Father is from Antigua. When he was little on growing up in the island of Antigua his Father and Mother would play Caribbean music all week long. Growing up in High School in the state Q learn more about the hip hop side of music and gain a great ordeal in dance. With this information and the dynamic energy as a hurricane it will change the playing field in what is delivering. The industry will forever be changed as Q will place the bar high.
As Q hits the streets he talks about who his musical influence is. When Q was much young growing up in the island he would try to learn the words to all of “Red Rat” and “Vybez Kartel” songs. Since then when he is flowing in the studio he is said to sound like “Lil Wayne”. The island pop (Soca) flow comes from artist “Lil Rick” and “Burning Flames”. All of these people have had some type of influence on Q over the years.
Q is a very extraordinary, destined to do extraordinary things. With heart that he has backing him in what he wants to do there is no doubt that you will see Q swagger flow, unique style and uplifting spirit will be the next thing to hit the airwaves.
