With influences like Muse, Coldplay, The police, Jeff Buckley and Jimmy Hendrix, The Rebellion's music has allowed them to share the stage with acts like Econoline Crush, Obijou, Joel Plasket, The Weakerthans, Hey Ocean and The Born Ruffians. Comprised of Josh Palmer on lead guitar, piano and lead vocal, Silviu Moldovan on guitar, Rylan Schultz on bass and Christian Kongawi on drums, The Rebellion has become one of Western Canada's most exciting bands. Although based in Saskatchewan, half The Rebellion hails from around the globe. At a young age, Silviu and his family fled soviet occupation in Romania. Christian immigrated from a war torn Congo at the age of 10. You could say The Rebellion has international roots, they found each other from across the world and now travel the country making appearances in such prestigious festivals as the 2008 & 2010 Canadian Music Week, 2007 Juno Awards Festival. Their independently released album “Time” has been well received in Canada and the U.S in 2008, now The Rebellion seeks to out-do themselves on their much anticipated album release in the fall of 2010 under Thorney Bleeder Records. New Album, new label, fresh style and a rocking sound! You'd better be ready, this Rebellion has only begun!
