Jamie discovered his passion and knack for making and writing music relatively late in life, but hes had a passion for listening to music since he was old enough to do air guitar at christmas parties. This passion briefly began as hatred, after agonising 4 hour plus family car journeys to France, on which his folks would play their only 3 tapes; 'Elaine Paige', 'Tony Christie' and U2's 'The Joshua Tree'! His earliest memories of music are 70s/80s rock anthems and power ballads, sung by androgynous, sexually ambiguous flamboyant stars with big hair, and bigger voices such as Duran Duran, Freddie, Tina, Bon Jovi and David Bowie! After the musical purgatory of his early teens listenin to trashy Europop;(Ace of Base, 2 Unlimited! :/) he discovered Britpop, Blur, Oasis and the guitar, deciding it was sexier than the piano. He studied and graduated from a Theatre degree at Manchester Met Uni in 2004, the kind of course where you're asked to ly on the floor being 'expressive' and pretend to be a tree; thank you Mr taxpayer! :) Hes dabbled in musical and touring theatre for a few years; highpoints include singing Queen on the West End, lowpoints include his trousers dropping playing Santa Claus during a Christmas show at a primary school in Italy. Oops. He rediscovered the guitar a few years ago and found a knack for songwriting; he writes big belty anthemic rock/indie songs with the kind of lyrics the 'everyman can relate to, think Bon Jovi meets Robbie Williams! He'd now like to make a career in music, to avoid the monotony of a life workin in call centres. To this cause, if U like what U hear please tell Ur friends, who can tell their friends, who can tell their friends, and so on, and so on - - :)
