In a world of insincerity and lost dreams,
ByItsRightName is a group of guys who
believe their sole purpose is to find your own.

It takes a lot to make a great story. From characters to
dialogue to settings, it's not every day you find a story that leaves an everlasting imprint on your mind, and a mark on your soul. But it all begins with a name.
A name is a tag of a few letters strung together that people use to find you, define you, and remind you that you still have an identity. It's our mission to create and inspire you with powerful, heartfelt, lyrically driven songs... To help you reach a little further, to try a little harder to find your own true identity as you discover the geniune truths of your own dreams, hopes, and loves.
We hope with all we are that you will partake in this journey with us, as we all come closer to learning what it is to call every thing, every instance, everyone..

As we all embark to discover our own "right names,"
ByItsRightName would like to share some about the
marks they've made.

Justin Willis - Guitars, Keys, Lead Vocals
Ricky Mathai - Drums, Percussion, Backup Vocals
AJ Enos - Bass, Backup Vocals, Add'l Percussion

From Des Moines, Iowa, these three have been playing together since 2007, forming ByItsRightName officially in 2009. Their first full-length debut album, "Hearsay." was released independently in 2010 and continues to sell. They rereleased an extended version with five bonus tracks in 2011 and made it available in over 30 online storefronts worldwide.
These honest, hard-working group of guys have played several
successful shows, packing out some of the smaller local venues in their hometown area. In 2011, their hard work was finally paying off. They played much larger shows such as their 4th consecutive appearance at Spirit Midwest, performing at the Guthrie County Relay for Life, and opening for tours around the region. Their most successful event to date was the first-ever Indoor Indie Music Fest in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Out of around 1500 entries, they were one of the 20 artists selected to perform two sets live at the Mall of America.
They continue to perform and evolve as they are constantly writing and preparing to move on to the next big thing. They hope and plan that next big thing to be a new CD and full-fledged tour in 2012.
