Bio:
Dedoceo Habi has participated on both sides of the camera, from Actor to Director, and many jobs in between. His corporate background in software development and Quality Assurance has contributed to his methodical approach to filmmaking. He is an Author, Community Health Advocate and Organizer, driven to use the film medium to create meaningful entertainment. He has a proven record for engaging issues that resonate strongly in communities across the United States. His works have significant social value and deliver perspectives that leave a lasting impression. A native of Savannah, Georgia, he now makes Philadelphia, PA home.

Leveraging his ever-growing network of professionals in the field to meet the needs of any production schedule, he is adept at building effective teams. One of his most memorable projects entails bringing together the entire City of Oakland in collaboration with The Alameda County Health Department around HIV/AIDS concerns. Through effective Public Service Announcements and short films targeting African American and Hispanic residents this life saving legacy continues to this day. This non-traditional role for a Filmmaker to gain public visibility has caused the efforts of Mr. Habi to garner the appreciation of the community, and it has reaffirmed his commitment to using film to enlighten, and not just entertain.

His journey began in 2002 when he formed his first filmmaking company and was approached by Rap icon E-40 to produce a music video which went on to show on BET’s 106th & Park. His projects have received endorsements from members of the Clergy, Government Officials, School Systems and County Health Care Officials. His films have aired on public televisions channels, film festivals, and have been included in a variety of venues to include the 2006 Congressional Black Caucus Annual Conference, The United Methodist Churches Global AIDS Fund conference in 2008, KTOP-TV Oakland, KZSW-TV Temecula, and OurTV, an Oakland based public television channel. He has also been featured on/in ABC7 News, KPFA Radio, and a host of web sites and news articles. He now focuses his energies of building a world class film production house, anchored in Philadelphia.
