Bio:
In only a couple short years, Central Jersey’s own Jonny Wolf has risen up and become a predominant player in the Garden State’s hip-hop scene. He so far has performed at venues such as Six Flags Great Adventure, World Cafe Live, and The Brighton Bar alongside acts that include The B.U.R.N U Movement, Die Youngs, and Sad Cypress. But there is much more to this artist than simply his own recent accomplishments.

Jonny’s own personal struggles are reflected in what he feels is most important thing: the message relayed in his music. He makes every distinct message the main element of each of his songs, which in turn acts as a source of motivation for his ever growing fan base. Jonny also avoids the derogation and vulgarity that dominates the rap game today out of fear for what music might become. “Over the years, the music industry has become more and more lenient,” he states. “Thirty years ago it would have been considered immoral to put music out there that depicts sex, drugs, violence, etc. the way the current music industry does. At this rate, it is only a matter of time before a mainstream song is released that, for example, vividly describes a rape or how to carry out some other crime. This cycle has got to stop, if not get reversed, and all I’m doing is making my contribution to that cause.”

Through various connections, Jonny Wolf caught the attention of MRP Entertainment, and with them, he released his first mixtape, Man of Hope, in early August 2010. The success of that tape led to the release of additional tracks. Both “Revolution” and “No Fool” have been acclaimed by fans and critics alike, as both await what Jonny’s future holds. But for now, Jonny Wolf is looking forward to gaining more exposure for himself in addition to working on future projects with MRP (although he is not under contract and is still technically unsigned). He is willing to let his musical career take him as far as he can go – by way of any path that becomes available.
