Bio:
After a long summer of recording their first album Headphone Symphony is now out to play like crazy til their throats are sore, their fingers worn to the bone and their thighs chafed red raw. The first album shows the bands ability to fuse Blues stylings with Rock, Funk, Pop and just about anything else you can think of. They are out to stun with Keys, Guitar, Bass and Drums mixing in a way most people knew was possible but have not dared to try due to the probability of seriously harming themselves. Add 3 part vocal harmonies to the mix and you’ve got a recipe for musical deliciousness that you won’t be able to refuse. Playing around the Lismore, Lennox, Byron and more recently the Brisbane City area with the likes of Sujitoko, The Downstairs Mix Up and His Merry Men they have shown the ability to keep up with the big bands in the area and are now ready to push onwards and upwards...and maybe slightly diagonal too. At one stage the band was set to share the stage with Australia’s premiere Alternate Rock Band ‘Regurgitator’ until the Nimbin Festival was closed down due to noise restrictions (What The F***?). The band in 2011 has had a reshuffle with Nick Simpson (bass) leaving the band for a career in law in Sydney. His replacement Ryan Carrero is a close friend of the band and is now ready to step up and fill the shoes of the mighty bass lord that is Nick. The band is now looking to play as far and wide along the east coast and indeed all around Australia and wow crowds with the catchy, sexy, funky grooves, infectious tunes that will dig into your head and never escape to the point where you may need to get a new set of ear drums surgically implanted to free yourself of the unrelenting melodic hooks that is the music of Headphone Symphony.
