Bio:
Recording artist, songwriter, model, actor are all words used to describe T-Manny. However, in person there is even more to learn about this young talent that is now attracting the attention of media broadcasters and many individuals.

Coming from a developing nation, T-Manny, by the age of eight, had lived life in ways that many people cannot even imagine - from crossing over a dead body to get to school, getting caught in between gunfights multiple times in Haiti and Dominican Republic, to seeing families living in houses so flimsy they would fall if someone leaned the wrong way. “Let’s just say... I’ve seen what men are capable of at both ends, positive and negative. Among all the madness, there is a lot more positivity, but unfortunately, sometimes the negativity’s louder.”

While half of his world is going mad, optimistic T-Manny (Emmanuel Lorenz Thorkelson) however, is living life to the maximum by looking for the little positivity that exists in between - a search he’s been on from a young age. By grade 3, T-Manny was already a little star in his neighborhood and school. Every Sunday, alongside his older brother, Junior Lorenz Thorkelson, he would sing songs in front of a fully-packed church. Later on in grade six, with the help of a family friend, T-Manny wrote a semi-comedic play. He selected the actors, helped coach them, and played the main character. Word spread and people from nearby neighbourhoods started to come watch every Saturday. Unfortunately, it had to be cut short when he moved to the Dominican Republic.

In July of 2006, T-Manny moved to Kingston, Ontario, Canada with his father and his brother for a better life. In the summer of 2010, high school football and soccer All-Star T-Manny met Alex Neptune at the local YMCA, while preparing to take on a football scholarship offer at Bishop University in Sherbrook, Quebec. Alex was born in northern Montreal to Haitian parents. Alex had lived in Kingston for 10 years. Like T-Manny, Alex also has a passion for music. Neither T-Manny nor Alex were aware of their common love for writing and recording music. Until one day, a football teammate congratulated T-Manny on his song called “Shake Them Chains” for making a lot of buzz on Facebook. A song he wrote for Haiti after the big earthquake. Alex then expressed that he was also a recording artist, and they decided to take a look at each other’s work. Later on, they decided to work together under the name ‘Haitian Sensation,’ a name given to T-Manny by his football coaches and teammates at Frontenac Secondary School.

T-Manny and Alex released their first album ‘Package for the Nations’ featuring Jamie Patterson. Which immediately caught the attention of local media such as; The Whig Standard newspaper, Fly FM, The Morning rush, CFRC, and local tv stations CKWS and Cogego. As well as Yattaradio, a local radio station in CoatzaCoalcos Veracruz, Mexico. Songs and music were all written by T-Manny with J. Patterson and Alex Neptune as co-writers. Music, mixing and mastering were all by T-Manny and Alex.

As a composer, writer, model, singer and actor, music has always been at the forefront for T-Manny. “Music, more than an escape, it’s my passion. My religion. I don’t care about genre as long as it sounds good to me.”
