The band was formed by old friends in Moscow in January 2011. Being heavily influenced by original 60’s garage, proto-punk and freakbeat bands, Troll Controll has it’s unique delivery which escapes firm definition. Balancing on the edge of garage, post-punk and pop-art mod sounds, the band ventures into new territory with short, minimalistically arranged catchy melodic songs reviving the pop that used to rock. Endorsed by Raye Biffin, owner of the iconic The Gruesomes label Ricochet Sound, debut album TROLLSHOVDA comprises only original material recorded and mixed during several live sessions at Praton Studio, Moscow. All instrument and vocal tracks were recorded simultaneously to retain energy and feeling of live performance.
