Bio:
From an early age, I have loved and been exposed to music. Grandma would listen to the radio while she cleaned the house & did the laundry. They had a lot of records, you could find anything from Patsy Montana, Bob Wills, Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, & Jean Shepard etc. I got my musical talent from both sides of the family. My Grandma Davis played the guitar with her brothers & sister. There were 5 of them & they had a band. My Grandmother Hamilton (my dad's mom) & her brothers & sisters played & sang too. All the nephews still do. I moved to Texas in 2003 and met my husband, Mike, and we were married in 2005. He has been a big help in getting me in the local opry houses around E. Texas. He's been manager, promoter, & photographer for the last 8 yrs. of me doing this. He's been there for me when I wanted to chuck it all & scream I QUIT! And I am so greatful for that. I have been on stage with other bands besides at the oprys. I sang with John Conlee's band in the early 90's & I recently got to yodel on stage with Riders In The Sky. That was the highlight of my year. I have also sang with Tommy Horton several times. I was the only live singer ever allowed to perform at the "Hands On A Hard Body" contest in Longview Texas. I sang for the KYKX Radio Station's toy drive in Longview Texas. Now I own 5 guitars and a Mandolin. I have two solid body electrics and one acoustic and two acoustic electrics. I have been writing songs for a few years now and really enjoy that. I was just in the studio recording and Johnny Cox, Earnest Tubb's former steel player, played Hal Rugg's steel (The Wilburn Brother's steel player), that was handed down to him, for the first time on anyone's album for me. That was a real thrill. I would rather be singing than eating any day. I especially love to yodel. I'm just a country girl at heart and love country music, especially the old stuff.
