With former members of the metal and hardcore bands such as Inkblot, Thrill at Will, Cru Jones,Strengthen What Remains and Board the windows, Nick and Chris decided to reach the softer side of their music with beautiful ambiance and depth. Their concept would arise songs of emotion with an acoustic kick. Today Hooks for Ladders is a full band with 5 members, and the band has more of a rock and pop sound with original lyrics that reach the soul.

    I think I probably like you guys better now that you've gone "mellow" (although I do like it when you break out into the heavier vibe, like on "Prelude to an End"). "Lead the Fall" reminds me of my own "Only Dreams." You hold her picture, I spoon my pillow, pretending it's her Really nice stuff guys. Thanks for friending me. I think you should pitch some of your songs for Film/TV. Call me old school, but I'd like to hear the vocals a little more out front. Still love your sound, though. Had trouble playing your video... gave up... I do video production for a living. Anyway, good luck!! By the way, I grew up in Ft. Lauderlale...
