Hello! My name is Jilly Mae and I am a singer/ songwriter from Metro Detroit... I write all my own music ranging anywhere from slow melodic acoustic songs, to heavy rock songs, to even some pop/techno. I released my debut self titled album "Jilly Mae : Take me with you" in 2010 which is comprised of mostly slow acoustic yet very melodic songs with me also playing the drums, guitar, bass and keyboard as well as singing. I write all my own musical parts for my songs as well, but when I perform live, I put together back up bands to play for me and we always have a rocking time :). I am currently looking for new members for my summer 2011 group, so if you're interested, message me! I am looking for a drummer, lead guitarist, bassist, pianist, and possibly instruments like saxophone and violin for some songs. I am also looking for one more female vocal back up singer. Anyways back to the music :), I have been writing poetry since forever, and first started playing Drums when I was 12, bass when I was 13, acoustic guitar at 15 and piano since forever. I have love for all music, I love trance and techno due to it's very melodic and electronic feeling. I have also been acting on a stage playing various lead roles since I was 7. In real life I am a very, very shy girl, but once I get up on stage it feels like my home and everything else goes out the window but my music, and the performance.
