Bio:
Isolation, hope, death, aspiration and loss. These are all subjects everyone deals with in their own personal lives and these are the subjects that The Cocks explore in their musical landscape. Part therapy session, part story telling, each song is steeped in that songwriters own experiences. A Cocks song is an exploration into the human condition of 21st Century America, a story told through the rock-n-roll aural assault of bass, guitar and drums. The Cocks songs are a celebration of the experiences and the complexities of life that make us who we are. You could call their music the bastard child of The Clash and The Replacements, having a polygamist relationship with The Kinks and The Beatles all the while lusting after Yo La Tengo, Wilco, Spoon and Built To Spill. In other words, rock and roll with heavy doses of late 70 punk rock, early 80 mid-west garage rock and 60's Brit-Pop with a keen eye on modern alt-rock.
