R. B. Hitz was born in Chicago, IL as Robert Ervin, May 13, 1987. He was given a gift of singing at birth. Growing up he listened various amount of music including R&B, Blues, Classical, and many more genres. He grew up listening to his uncle's group F.E.W. who was one of the biggest influences in his life. At the age of 12 he was leader of the band at William Penn Elementary School up until he went to high school. He, also, started recording at the age 12 as well. Doing hooks for local artist throughout Chicago. As a sophomore in high school he was known as "The Choir Boy" at Manley Career Academy. Also throughout that year he attended Columbia College of Chicago for performance Poetry and traveled to Minnesota with Northwest University to speak on Youth and Poverty. Throughout the years Hitz worked on music until 2007, when he made his 1st mixtape entitled "Holy City 1on1." He 'jacked" beats from songs like PSA (Jay-z), Canon (Lil Wayne), and many others. Though Hitz was a singer, he exploited his ability to rap as well. In 2008, Robert Ervin created his own indie record label called Holy City Records, naming it after the hood he grew up in Chicago (The Holy City). Under his label he signed his brother-in-law Breon Neal (Breezzy) and released an album (A Man, A Myth, A Legend) and another mixtape entitled WHCR- Cold Summer Vol. 1, which was his most successful mixtape under Holy City Records. He has sense worked with other artist in Chicago, Ohio, California, and other places throughout the US. His highly anticipated album “Day Before Money” is set to release May 1, 2010 and is expected to see even more success do to his international exposure. Hitz is known throughout the world in places like the U. K., Germany, Japan, S. Africa, and money other places.
