Dee has a passion for the ministry of music and a heart to follow God. She began organizing musical youth groups at twelve years old and sung songs to glorify God from city to city traveling to support the Cooper Ministries.
While attending her university, she performed for the Spring Extravaganzas to get the feel of the stage.

Dee's first single was released in 2003 entitled "The Lord is My Shepherd". BMG Music Publishing signed an agreement with her for the Braxton Brothers music composition for the song. Dee completed her full CD and entitled it "The Lord is My Shepherd LIVE". It was recorded at the Evangelist Temple Church in Houston, Texas by The Good Shepherd Production. Dee has taken her gospel roots and produced a contemporary style of music, an infusion of R&B, jazz and soul influences. She has a unique perspective on what all the different facets of her congregation would enjoy listening to, from the traditional and conservative to the young and contemporary. Durden is able to spread the word through her unique style and breathe new life into gospel music. Her latest Project was recorded remixed/mastered by Tate Music & Publishing Company, a Christian-oriented organization dedicated to talented artists and writers all over the world.
