Dortmund Artist Wolfgang Leng has been an established artist for quite a while now. Reaching anyone interested in fine arts through his oil and acrylic paintings as well as drawings is of great importance to Leng. However, Leng's creativity isn't limited to painting or drawing pictures - he also composes music, writes poems and is passionately involved with photography and digital arts. At the moment, he is finishing his first book. "My paintings tend to come out geometric, contemporary-modern, abstract, objective and realistic", says Leng describing his style, "sometimes even all at once in one painting". The manner in which an oil painting of his comes into being and his choice of colours are influenced by music, yet the technique he uses is always decided upon with the painting in mind. Leng has been able to gain a lot of experience and he has established himself as an artist doing projects, mounting exhibitions alone or with others and taking part in nation-wide as well as international competitions. He has found his style and is displaying a great deal of versatility, which his fans greatly appreciate.
Many of his paintings take a lot of time to create and require much concentration and discipline. He draws upon everyday thoughts, dreams and wishes as well as political, social and erotic topics. His own experiences - positive and negative alike - can be found in his pictures. In the art scene Leng is called the "Master of Edges".
