SharBaby first got interested in music at the age of 6 years old. At the age of 11 years old, she took guitar lessons and was deeply inspired by Hubert Sumlin and the Beatles. Shar's Dad was a gospel singer in the 50's and early 60's, opening for Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers, The Alabama Blind Boys, and the Dixie Humming Birds to name a few. Shar got her name from her Aunt Marie at the age of 6 years old (SharBaby.) Shar has played many festivals both in the U.S. and Europe. Shar is on radio stations both in the U.S. and Europe. Shar is currently ranked # 1 on Reverbnation for Birmingham, Alabama. Shar has an Album out called "Chicago Blues Alabama Style. The song Called "Crazy About A Mercury" (cover song) made number 1 on Cashbox Roadhouse Blues and Boogie charts in May of 2010. They have put that same Album back on the Charts for Cashbox at number 21 for this year of 2011. Reports and reviews on Shar has been published in Blues Matters Magazine, UK Rythm Blues Magazine, UK, Big City Blues Magazine, Blues In Britain Magazine (Britain's Top Magazine) and many others. Shar went on tour last May to England and is planning another one in England in 2012. She also went to Malaga, Spain in 2009 for a Festival. Shar has shared the same stage with Denise LaSalle, Kenny Neal, Honey Boy Edwards, Sam Lay, Jerry Portnoy, Paul Oscher to name a few. In April of 2012, I received 3 awards from the Indie Music Channel. The Awards covered a Song that I wrote called "Keep Your Mind To Yourself," Best Live performance Award, and Best Band Award. I was also nominated "Album of The Year" off of My "SharBaby's 11 O'Clock Blues Album. On November 29, 2012 I was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame under the title of "Master Blues Artist." On March 11, 2013 I toured France, Belgium, and Luxemborg for a month. In July on the 26, 27, and the 28 I will be in Scotland in the Edinburgh Festival. In September of the 6, 7, and 8 I will be in Ireland in the Mougnahan Festival. France has asked me to come back in 2014. I also work for the Alabama Blues Project as a beginner guitar Teacher for the last 4 years.
