Bio:
Songwriter/Lyricist/Lead Guitarist/Programmer/Graphic Artist/Producer ......Pete was born out in mid-west Queensland. Moving from the country to Ipswich, he found life exciting and began achieving the things he chased. One of seven children, the family was raised by a dedicated mother, with a Civil Engineer for a father. A big change came at nine years of age when the family packed up and moved to the Gold Coast, one of the biggest tourist and surfing destinations. The first night in his new world remains a vivid memory to Pete, as he still remembers the crashing of waves as he went to sleep. The morning revealed the Pacific Ocean, right outside the back door of his new home. He took to the water with ease and became an avid surfer, and enjoyed the skateboarding scene, whilst growing up through the seventies becoming more consious of his music likes. Later motorbikes and hot cars became a part of his desires. Starting at age 6 on piano, by twelve he changed his main instrument to guitar. With an 8 year older brother introducing him to bands such as, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Uriah Heep, he soaked up the rock sounds with eager ears. He remembers his first live concert at Festival Hall, Brisbane, where he and two sisters went to experience 'Status Quo' in their ruling years! The guitar become his passion, and went on to join and start an array of bands, churning out the covers in Gold Coast and Brisbane venues. He also toured up and down Queensland. The opportunities rolled in as he wrote the original 'Kirra Surf' jingle with Tony Meehan from 'Cliff Richards and The Shadows', and had original music backing surfing segments on T.V. 'Brownie's Coast Watch' as well as Tourism Promtional material for the Gold Coast. Pete also dabbles in graphic art/design, and screenprinting, and has worked for designer shops and 'The Record Market' in Surfers Paradise, and many other projects. Recording became a large dimension of his creativity, and is known to be a prolific songwriter/producer/lyricist/graphic designer/guitarist. With an undying passion for the guitar, he has recorded several albums and collaborated with other well known international guitar players. As a reviewer, Pete also puts his experience to critiquing others music.
