The 5th Annual Indie Music Channel Awards has honored Emphasis Records songwriters and artists, Stevie Hawkins, Charlotte Hannon, John Breen, Tim Crouch, Victor Orlando and Miles Grayson, with a combined twenty-one award nominations in its 2016 red carpet event.
Artist, songwriter and producer Stevie Hawkins, ranks in with eleven nominations in the Americana, Blues, Easy Listening, R&B categories. Hawkins also received a nomination in the "Best Live Blues Performance" category; while Grammy nominated percussionist, Victor Orlando and legendary music producer, arranger, composer, musician, Miles Grayson, enjoy a nomination with Hawkins in the "Best Live R&B Performance" category. Accomplished lyricist, Charlotte Hannon, earned four "Best Song" nominations in the categories of Americana, Blues, Easy Listening and R&B. Irish recording artist and songwriter, John Breen, received a "Best Song" nomination in the Americana category along with Tim Crouch, a famed musician, songwriter and producer.

The nominations come from four widely successful Emphasis album releases, "Georgia Jam - Live", "High Time", "What The Funk?", "Origins", with the Orlando, Grayson and Hawkins "Best Live R&B Performance" nomination being a song excerpt from a concert the trio performed at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood.
