- The brainchild of midwestern singer/songwriter Adam Wayne Lankford, Adam Wayne and the Sybil Vanes began as a solo venture under the moniker "The Lankford Kin" in early 2010. Always in a state of evolution, The Vanes are currently a 3 piece consisting of classically trained violinist Alyssa Curran, Tori Amos-esque backing vocals and percussion from Amber Mays, deeply personal songs and multi-instrumentalization from Adam. Although you can still often see Adam performing solo. The Vanes are currently open to adding a proper drummer and bassist. As well, their first full length release "Old Flames Among Other Things" is tentatively scheduled to be recorded in late 2011.
