- Amy Caitlyn Cerny was born on May 24,1994, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Diane and David Cerny. She has an identical twin sister, Ashley, who is four minutes older. Amy grew up on an acreage near Shelby, Nebraska. She was raised a Roman Catholic. Amy acquired a love for singing when she was 5 years old. Throughout her childhood and adolescent years, she was involved in school and church choir. Amy was involved in choir every year from kindergarten through 12th grade. At the age of 8, she began writing her own songs; in 7th grade she performed a duet alongside Ashley at a school talent show. At the age of 16, Amy learned to play the guitar. On special occasions, the sisters would perform guitar duets. Amy and Ashley were involved in church choir and performed for several church events throughout junior high and high school.
At the age of 19, Amy released her debut album Makes you Wanna Live on April 8, 2014. The album includes 8 tracks which contains a blend of modern country with an upbeat of pop music. Her sister Ashley is also featured on the song "Those Days."
In 2014, Amy made her acting debut when she was cast in the children's television show Aunt Molly and Friends in the role of Mimi. Along with Amy, Ashley also appears on the show as Gigi. Amy is also a co-writer for the scripts and will select which creative endeavor will be featured in each episode.
Aside from her love for acting and singing, Amy enjoys dancing, playing the guitar, piano, and violin, cooking, art, and horseback riding.
