Born in Gdansk, Poland. Currently stationed in Warsaw/ Barcelona.
Since she was 7 years old she has been living and educating herself musically in Skien, Norway. In 1997-1999 she was selected twice to play in the Norwegian Symphony Youth Orchestra (NUSO). An important milestone in her musical career. Then, as a young violinist she had to go through several stages of auditions and only the best from the entire Norway were picked. She travelled and performed in different cities in Norway (Bergen, Stavanger) and also took part in the Europeen Youth Music Festival in Barcelona in 1998.
Living and learning music in Norway has shaped Ania as an artist, therefore she is now combining elements of Norwegian and Polish patterns in her music. As a violinist she incorporated the dreamy elements of Norwegian folk into her songs.
With her reportoire Ania has travelled across Poland to perform in various jazz clubs as well as private events. As an indie pop artist, however, she has crossed the borders and made her music aired in the US, where her premiere single "Give it up" tossed the Top10 chart of The Radio Cafe Radio Show in Hollywood. The song has also been aired at several American Radio Stations such as 97.5 FM KLAK, Mix 106 FM , Mix 94.1 FM and Indie Music Channel.
Winner of the Indie Music Channel Awards 2014 in the "Best Female Artist" category, was also nominated for "Best Pop Song" (Give it up) and "Best Video".
In Poland, her Polish single "Głową w dół (Upside down)" has been present on the national airplay of Jedynka, Polish Radio station nr 1. Ania is also gaining popularity in the Internet where her videos on YouTube scored over 100 000 hits and over 5000 Facebook fans to count.
Emotional, elegant, inspirational, fairytale sounds from Norwegian fjords -‐ these notions are best to describe Ania Brzozowska.
