I know you may have already asked yourself, “Who is Avion?” Well, for this dynamic Singer/Songwriter/Producer based out of Los Angeles, Ca, the answers to that question are both simple and complex beyond explanation. When approached with the question, Avion himself says with a distant smirk, “Who I am is irrelevant. It is what I am that should concern you?” That is the quick answer to a question that can only be truly addressed by listening to his new E.P.. Carlos Hudgins, Director, Creative Urban for EMI Music Publishing says about him, “I truly believe that Avion is what todays music is missing. He is a creative powerhouse.” Soon you will be able to form your own opinion. Avion is ready to share his vision with the world. An unlikely mix of musical ideas will be on display no matter how you decide to check him out. The combination seamlessly comes together to form a sound whose influences range from sources as eclectic as Bob Dylan to De La Soul to Sixpence None the Richer. “Individually, I have struggled a long time to find my place in the music world. It's no coincidence that I have come to that place now. With the uncertainty surrounding the music industry presently, the avenues are wide open for an artist like me; who defies convention.” says Avion. “In the past, there was something missing in the music, and in me as well.” he says. “Music is about self expression. No matter how good it sounds, if there is no authenticity for you there, it is impossible to be fully self expressed.” As you listen to his music now it is easy to assume he has found his truth. However, by his own account his search is far from done. “I want to always have this hole to fill.” he says. “I want to always be learning and evolving, that's just my nature.” Is it hyperbole to say that Avion may just be a force of nature, himself? That is for you to decide.
