Brad Standley was born on a small farm in Northern California in the town of Sebastopol. Raised by a wild herd of free roaming cattle a good distance from civilization making a living as a part time ninja, he learned to live in his own world of bizarre sounds and musical phrases. After a career in the theater and a period of solo acoustic concerts and a stint as a high-ranking CIA super spy, Brad put together the group that would compliment his musical universe.

Brad Standley & The Foxflies bring an innovative sound that could best be described as the love child of Tom Waits, Jeff Buckley, and Otis Redding in a top hat beating up Jason Mraz in a dark alley. It's acrobatic vocals, and innovative lead lines take you by the hand and lead you down a path to a universe that you weren't really sure existed. The foursome consists of Brad Standley on Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, Brad’s former CIA handler Ricardo Esteves on Bass, the doctor turned hobo that they found on a mission to Madagascar Matt Linsky on Lead Guitar, and the Viking that helped them escape that smurf invasion of 2003 Sam Murphy on Drums.
