The band was formed in 2008 with the goal of being one of the top metal bands in the southeast. Beginning with the two surviving band members from a previous band, Rob (drums) and Jeff (bass) recruited Ryan (guitar) and Logan (vocals) to complete the quartet. After writing several songs over the course of the first year, the band went into the studio to record a demo in order to get local gigs. It worked. 105.9 The Mountain has featured Burnstitch on several occasions featuring the band’s original work from their demo. To date, Burnstitch has reached a high level of local and regional success playing with the best of the best metal bands from WNC and beyond. And, the fan base continues to grow by day. As far as the Asheville scene goes, Burnstitch has been well received by the public. They have played locally at several established metal venues including the Boiler Room, Stella Blue, The Garage and one of Rolling Stone's top 5 venues in the country, the Orange Peel. Through the hard work on the road performing and at home writing music, the band’s highly anticipated first EP “Human Condition” is now available.
