- Hello friends. My name is Charles Locke Govatsos, and I use Charles Locke for my stage name. You can contact me if you like CharlesGovatsos@gmail.com and you can also hear 78 of my songs at this link http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/artist_songs/554573 - I have worked for promoters in Boston for 15 years, from 1993 to 2008: Live nation, Clear Channel, Don Law, AEG and many others. I have worked at the TD Garden aka Boston Garden, The Comcast Center, The Orpheum Theatre, The Wang Center, The Worcester Centrum, Bank of America Pavilion, and 100s of other venues. The 18 hour days were hindering my artistic life, and my last job in Boston was working with Niel Diamond at Fenway Park for AEG in 2008, however, I quit working for promoters and now I successfully survive by my art alone. Here is a short biography.

Charles Govatsos began playing piano at the age of 12, the guitar at 14 and before graduating high school in Boston he had already written over 300 songs. And now, more than 4000 original songs later, he is still writing everyday as effortlessly as breathing. He has also written 4 books and for the last 6 years he has been writing celebrity stories every month for a magazine sold in New England and New York City. He has played guitar and sang with Jesse Ed Davis (who played on some of John Lennon’s solo albums), Tom Petty, Paul Simon, Gene Clark from the Byrds, Spencer Davis, Buddy Miles; he sang “We are the World” on the stage with Michael Jackson live on TV at the Grammy’s and he has worked with everyone from Brittany Spears, Maria Carey and Johnny Cash to Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones. Charles Locke currently lives in Los Angeles, California and performs with his new band “Charles Locke and the Keys” an all original band. The members are Charles Locke (guitar - vocals) Jimmy Caprio (bass - vocals) Howard Miller (guitar - vocals) and L.J. (drums - vocals) And at this moment they are recording their 2nd of 5 CDs to be released in 2012 and 2013.

thank you Charles- I make u pwhat comes out of my head so glad you like dmy minor chord :) I am trying to relax after the SAT's yesterday and last weeks crazy schedule. recording a new album- just started it a few weeks ago. will do more next week. Have a gig in Potsdam set up for July 14, I cancelled one in Corn Hill Festival for up and coming artists to go and se e my sister on her anniversary. I had a hard time cancelling becasue it is a great opportunity- but I have to have a life too . school is arduous- how about you ? i am working on gettng conected to something that can help me get my music out there- recognised- you know. working all the time.
