Denver native, De’Aundré “NCtG” Davis, began his journey at age 9 experimenting with percussion as well as being formally trained to play the trombone. After learning to play these instruments, he taught himself how to play the piano as well as the trumpet, all of which have had a profound influence in his music.
In 2003 he began working with FL Studio and started composing his own beats inspired by the mainstream rap genre, within a year “NC” was creating his own emergent style of music. Shortly after, he began to showcase his talent through social networks and local events. Local artists close to “NC” used his music, and eventually joined him to form the “Urban Street Soldiers,” a group of artists that would record solo and group work. De’Aundré became the lead member and head producer of the group, persistently motivating and working with his fellow members with the help and guidance of renowned artist, Hazel Miller. The band was later converted to an independent label, Urban Street Productions.
Throughout his continual progression, he expanded his use of audio software to more recent versions of FL Studio, Sony Acid, Celemony Melodyne, and Adobe Soundbooth. Although he is primarily a rapper “NC” is currently working on creating a unique sound and progressing existing genres of music. Overall, his diverse melodies and instruments are punctuated with elements of Jazz, Classical, Metal, House, R&B, and Hip-Hop.
Lately, De’Aundré continues to write his own music, as well as managing his solo artists and groups.
