Deer Park Avenue is a band of two sisters who like making rock music. They've been called rock, pop, power-pop, and alternative -- high energy, fun, melodic, with an old school punk edge. They're often compared to Jimmy Eat World and Metric and Green Day and have described as the 'girl Weezer' or 'Paramore covering the Beach Boys.'
Sarah and Stephanie Snyder started Deer Park Avenue way before they even thought of the name. As kids they were playing drums and guitar together on some of their favourite Beatles tunes and were putting together mini concerts for friends and family and other captive audiences. They went from playing pop songs in their living room to covers at talent shows and festivals and then started writing songs together, which changed everything.
They’ve gigged and had airplay in the US and Europe, living in California, France, New York, New Jersey, and Switzerland, a life of constant travelling. Deer Park Avenue loves the road.
Their new release, Stop & Go, featuring the musical genius of both Matt Bissonette and Gregg Bissonette, is starting to receive attention from bloggers and podcasters from all over the world and is available now on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and BandCamp.
