Bio:: His good looks, teen fan base, dimples and unique sound are just a few of the reasons music industry experts are already calling Dylan Rey the next Bruno Mars meets Michael Buble.

Dylan Rey was born in the Live Music Capitol of the World, Austin, Texas in 1999. Shortly after his third birthday, his family relocated to Dallas, TX where Dylan still resides. Since he was a young child, Dylan knew he was made for the Entertainment business.

During his free time, he would put together shows, and miniature concerts for the enjoyment of his family and friends. Out of all the aspects and categories of the Industry, music is what fascinated him the most.

He grew up listening to many R&B/Soul artists such as James Brown, The Temptations, Boys II Men, Bryan Adams, and R-Kelly, but soon moved into the Pop Scene with artists like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Elton John, and more modern artists including *NSYNC, The Backstreet Boys, Sam Smith, and Bruno Mars.

By the age of four, Dylan was into his second year of piano lessons, and was more advanced than most of the children his age at musical theory. Learning the piano opened many doors for Dylan, including being able to advance a year of school due to his outstanding kinetic, reading, and memorization skills.

Dylan carried on throughout school as a straight A student, an outstanding pianist, and a child of exquisite taste in music, literature and theater. When Dylan turned eight, his father took him on a Medical Missions Trip to an orphanage in Nigeria.

Being so young, Dylan was confused and devastated at the living conditions that these orphan children had to face not only without the upbringing of a parent, but in this third world country with such little to be thankful for.

Moved by this experience his family adopted three boys from that orphanage in Nigeria. In 2009 Gabriel, Gideon and Iyaji joined the family. Dylan is now one of six children to include his younger sister Isabella Jewliette and little brother Donavan Cruz.
Dylan Rey’s music career began at the age of 10. He began singing with his church choir in the 5th Grade, and was involved in many gospel-type specials such as Oh Happy Day, There is a Way, Time of the Season, What a Wonderful World, and many more.

By 12 years old, Dylan was a trained musician vocally and instrumentally with the piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, and saxophone. He performs at several Open Mic Nights and books gigs around the Dallas/Fort Worth areas at venues like Six Flags, The Palace Theater, The House of Blues, and the Hilton Anatole.

He participated in the AMTC SHINE Event in he Summer of 2014, and received 10 callbacks for acting and music. His goal is to leave an influential mark on all of his listeners, and encourage them to follow their dreams no matter what.

Dylan Rey recently performed at the Ryan Seacrest studios at the Dallas Childrens Hospital and has been selected by Make-a-wish to help one young girl with big music dreams come true! Dylan shot his first music video in Los Angeles Jan 7 for his EP featuring his song She Gets Me.

While in Los Angeles Dylan will also be opening for Diggy Simmons, Jacob Latimore, and Trevor Jackson. Dylan will also be preparing for his upcoming performance at the Virgin Radio RedFest in Dubai alongside artists such as Iggy Azalea, The Script, Jeremih, and Rixton.

Gray, Talkin’ to the Moon, and his EP She Gets Me – all produced by Grammy Member/AMA Nominee/Billboard Award Winner, Andrew Lane will all be available Jan 2015. She Gets me EP will include tracks for She Gets Me, Out of Tune, Free Throw, and Take Me. Dylan Rey, Miguelito MTO, and Daniel Curtis Lee “DRIIVE” just wrapped up a new single “Behind the Scenes” on Jan 24, 2015, also produced by Andrew Lane.

Dylan is currently touring with a The Teen Nation Tour, a national tour, performing for thousands in order to spread his music across the United States. Dylan’s team consists of Cathy Cardenas Marketing, and Andrew Lane (Double Grammy and platinum producer).
