One moment a powerful poet the next a saucy seductress- Elyssa is a modern day gypsy who combines shrewd cabaret, folk-infused melodies and rock ‘n roll vignettes to tell her story of tragicomic heroine in a land of free roaming black beasts as real as the nightmares of past lovers. Drawing inspiration from Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd and Amanda Palmer and donning a black corset, a lacy ensemble and a feathered hat, Elyssa saunters onto stage where her poignant lyrics and alluring vocals take you to a magical wonderland inhabited by a fiddle-playing faun, an unflappable bassist and a rambunctious drummer.
