Bio:: “ Schizoid Band Rocks the 21st Century” Rexartrefkin is an exciting new rock band from Central Florida that brings together a wealth of talent and experience. Wayne Van Stanley, bass guitar and vocals, is a published poet whose powerful lyrics both inflame the heart and inspire the imagination. Dave St. David, whose soulful and psychedelic guitar, has mesmerized audiences for years, has a deep spiritual connection to the earth which is rooted in his Native American ancestry. Gene Hendry has indulged his unquenchable passion for the drums with a lifetime musical career, touring with original and cover bands. Rexartrefkin's provocatively dark and edgy lyric's span the gamut from Science Fiction to Social Conscience Art, from gut-wrenching laments about social injustice to mystical explorations of unseen worlds. The group is frequently asked, “What does the name ‘Rexartrefkin’ mean?” And their answer is always the same: “Listen to our music, and you tell us!” From Gary Hill's Review:“Their intense musicianship bear references to such bands as Yes, Rush and King Crimson. The sound here is more modern, though. It doesn’t shy away from the classic and progressive rock roots, but it stretches further into modern hard rock, as well.
