Prestor John was started in 2010 by Longtime friends Jimmie Bryant and Johnnie Hollis. Bryant, a classically trained violist, and Hollis, a self-taught blues guitarist began writing songs after bonding over a shared love of Choppy, syncopated beats, coupled with a similar style of blues based guitar. In early 2011, Hollis left the band for personal reasons, leaving songwriting duties to Bryant. Often found listening to bands such as Kyuss, Joy Division, Cream, and Eagles of Death Metal, lyrical passages range from the smoothest melodies, to passionate roars, all floating above the unstoppable groove that slithers its way down your spine, shifting from driving mechanical madness, to pure sweetness...
