Bio:: Minister Jimmy Brown is a native of Kennett, Missouri. He has been singing since the age of 10, playing the piano at age 11. "Every since that time, I really loved playing Gospel Music. I wasn't playing like I really wanted to, but God has truly blessed me beyond measures." Minister Brown states he really didn't know too much about gospel music, "but I knew deep down this is what I wanted to do." "I asked the Lord a long time ago to anoint me to play at least one song, and that he did." 1992, Minister Brown married a beautiful woman by the name of Angela Sharon Vincent-Brown who also had to beautiful children Craig Vincent and Chandra Vincent who I love dearly and they to still reside in Richmond California and always will Love them Like my own. They relocated to Richmond, California, under the leadership of Pastor Charles M. Levias, New Greater Mount Calvary Church of God In Christ, in Oakland, California. In 1995 Minister Brown lost his beautiful wife, "but the memories will still live on". "My wife left behind a jewel, our son, Lil Jimmy Esau Brown, who I love dearly with my whole heart. Before his wife's passing, they started a group called "Minister Jimmy Brown and The New Testament Singers", which was anointed by God. We shared the stage with some of the greatest Gospel Artists such as the Late Rev. James Moore, Walter Hawkins, Shirley Caesar, and Emmitt Powell & Gospel Elites, just to name few. My mentor is Lawrence Matthews of Oakland, California. My role model on a national scale is Pastor Norman Hutchins, and Troy Sneed who called me one day and encourages me to keep going on. My female Mentor Vickie Winans has been an inspiration in my life. Minister Brown later moved to Detroit, Michigan, started doing solo. He was joined by a good friend, "whom I come to love and never will forget, my Brother in Christ, Bro. Derrick Milan's & Peter’s Rock Mass Choir". Who appears on (Sound of Gospel Record Label)...? And, to make it short now I live in California. And I am under the leadership of Pastor Marcus Mitchell Word Impact Christian Center. God has reunited him and his Son together. Minister Jimmy Brown was discovered by Debra Martin, Owner/Founder of Borae' Records in Baltimore, Maryland, at a banquet. She loved my song, "Holy Spirit". I was accepted as Borae Records A&R Director and as a Recording Artist. I am also thankful for Gerald Nelson who was the producer of the album. Gerald Nelson also produced two other artists from Borae' Records, Anissa Stewart and Evangelist Peggy Carmichael, on my CD. I thank Mr. Gregory Brown, Sr., producer for "Trust in the Lord". And, my Executive Producer, Debra Martin. I also give recognition to my background singers on my CD: Monet Horton, Michael Roberts, Michael Bailey and Darryl Culbert. And a special thank you to Pastor Durrell Williams, who gives the CD "Holy Spirit" its introduction. Album was released in August 2005. Minister Brown also just released his new CD Single Mother's Love which is out on www.cdbaby.com the song is a tearjerker you will be blessed just listening to the words. Minister Jimmy Brown was ordained by the United Association of Christian Chaplains and Counselors International he received his certified Chaplain license in 10/07. God has truly blessed this man Of God. His future is only the beginning of something that the Lord has set his approval and his anointing. This is my prayer that the Lord will continue to keep his hands on me, and to you that you may be blessed beyond measures. "Because In Everything, I still have praise. Minister Jimmy Brown is still going on with the Lord in his music, writing and producing. He continues to live his life before many so that they may glorify the father which is in heaven.
