The music of singer/songwriter, Kelly Burgos, is typically a soulful blend of folk, rock and blues... but she ventures into progressive rock, jazz, and just about anything that her creative spirit desires to explore. Growing up, Kelly listened to everything... Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin, Linda Ronstadt, Led Zeppelin, Rush, you name it... and she loved it all. As a performing artist, she has arrived at her own signature blend, but still finds herself venturing off into unexpected territories. Kelly’s vocal and songwriting versatility is demonstrated on her self-titled album, produced by Sheila E. and featuring some of Los Angeles’ top musicians. Since the age of 17, Kelly has enjoyed creating and performing her original material as well as performing live and in the studio with musicians/bands of a variety of genres including rock, progressive rock, folk, R&B, and pop. Through a publishing contract with MasterSource, as well as her own independent publishing efforts, Kelly’s music has received a number of film/tv placements including: Passions, Judging Amy, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Consequence, Not Afraid To Say, Raising Waylon, Slingshot, Winding Roads, and You Stupid Man. Kelly recently signed a publishing deal for a new group of songs with Los Angeles-based music placement and music supervision agency, Gotham Music Placement. Since relocating from Los Angeles back to her hometown of Pittsburgh, she has been writing new material, collaborating with new writers and musicians, doing studio session work, and performing live. She is currently exploring, yet again, new sonic hues. “Soulful and passionate…from low-key textured numbers to boiling blues, Burgos takes you on a ride. This is an artist truly chasing her own muse.” - Los Angeles Music Connection
