Bio:: God has called us to do this, not because of our passion to rap or our love for hip hop music. Our motivation comes from a far deeper source, our passion for Christ Jesus the risen Lamb of God, who paid for our salvation. Before we experienced God for ourselves, not a single one of us had a passion to rap or longed to be a rap star, but like Paul once we had an encounter with God, our lives were forever changed. Induced in us was a passion for ministry, but before we could be used, God took us through many fires and storms to cleanse and refine us. We’ve been (and are still being) broken and humble by God, corporately and also individually. We understand now that Brokenness qualifies us to be used as a valuable conduit for the glory of God. This understanding gave birth to the revelation of the name we now hold. X1s [Exalted Ones] is a faith based statement birthed from 1Peter 5:6 which says “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time”. The name in no way signifies that we’re better than anyone, neither do we want to be recognized and put on a pedestal, but it’s a constant reminder to us, what God can do if you remain humble. Recognizing that today’s generation is strongly influenced by music, God has made this our mission field,equipping us with musical gifts and talents to reach our generation. Our purpose is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, live above the influence of a sinful culture and above all Exalt God’s name
