Bio:: Leira-Symone (Lay-Rah-Symone). An up and coming vocalist with a unique soulful voice, she has the ability to blend pop, soul and jazz into a unique styling all her own. Leira Symone has been described as a Soulful Diva; luring listeners in with her sultry vibe and then amazing with her powerful vocals. Crossing musical genres and being accepted in Pop, R&B, Soul and Neo Soul categories she is a true “Vocal Talent” with a pure and energetic voice her fans have come to love. She is an up and coming artist poised to make a large splash on the music scene. Leira Symone began her artistic career at a very young age. Performing on stage since the age of four, she has appeared in numerous stage productions including “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as well as performing as Katie in her favorite role in “Loves Way Back”. Leira Symone also spent five years on several praise and worship teams. During this time she participated in the live recording of the CD project “Outpouring” which was released in 2003. Leira Symone has performed in a variety of City Rallies and festivals, and donates her time to perform for disadvantaged children during the Christmas Season. Her voice is also featured in the theme song of an anti-bullying program. She is the reigning Harrisburg Idol, a regional vocal competition attended by hundreds yearly and drawing talent from around the Central Pennsylvania region. Currently Leira Symone is working on her first solo project “Journey of Love”. Journey of Love is a story of the joys and heartaches of love as experienced by a young woman. With passionate ballads such as “Move” to the upbeat vocals of “I Love Me More”, Journey of Love showcases the range and diversity her voice brings to music.
