Bio:: Love &the Lords of Chaos is a fresh and new sounding band based out of Seattle, for now that is. Born out of the 90's grunge era and having grown up on 70's and 80's rock and pop music has formed the eclectic contemporary rock bands style and verse. Very original and often hard to pigeonhole. Our music is a mix between Bad Brains, INXS, and Morphine. The one constant member in Love &the Lords of Chaos is me. My name is Mateo Elias Garcia and I'm the creator rhythm guitarist singer and songwriter. I was born in Mesa Arizona and moved to Olympia Washington in the 80's. I made it to Seattle in 90' when everything here was exploding musically. I started playing guitar in 95' and by 2002 I was writing good songs that were baring a unique and rhythmically based identity. I had also by then moved to LA to "make it big" as so many do I suppose I connected with a writing partner Sean Kinkade who was a huge influence and co-creator the early L.L.C. sound and style. In 2007 I returned to Seattle and went to school. disalusioned with life and my ability to live my dream school was an attempt to be successful in career and not be a middle aged man without means. I actually stopped playing music all together during my time in college. Than in 09' an old friend Shawn Silva and I reconnected and he helped me get back on the horse. We played for a year and a half and I started writing again. I blended the old L.L.C. with a new 80's pop influence, there was this new INXS, Cars, and Stray cats infusion going on. I was soon at a crossroads and I decided to once again to tempt fate and try to forge a professional touring rock band. Now ready to get in the studio and make an album, we continue writing new songs. I cant wait to get on the road promoting and playing shows. The fans always decide the fate of bands and how long they survive. No matter how this particular chapter ends though I'll continue to write, play music, and live a full life. Just like the Roots song "it's the fire inside her, you don't say good luck you say don't give up, it's the fire, insider her, let it burn". that'll always keep me looking up. Forever in pursuit of something bigger and better than the world I was born into, always looking higher and never giving up.. See you peeps out on the mean streets. Peace.... mg
