Michelle was born in Edmonton, AB in 1980 and was blessed to be born into a musical family. She sang from a very young age and when she was 19 her mum gave her a little "needed" push to go to Music Program at Red Deer College, in Red Deer, AB. From there she graduated with a diploma in Music Merchandising in 2001, and continued her education at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, AB where she graduated there with a Diploma in Vocal Jazz Performance. From there she went to Nova Scotia and had the opportunity to sing in her first musical "Swing". Living and performing in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, changed Michelle as a person and performer. She began songwriting and playing the piano and guitar in 2003. In Nova scotia, Michelle met some amazingly special people who have marked her soul and whom she will remember for the rest of her life. Now, in 2011, Michelle has been a Private Music Instructor for 4 years teaching out of 53rd Street Music in Red Deer, Alberta. For the last 4 years she has been honing her musical skill on guitar and piano, writing and performing whenever she can. She has had the opportunity to book bands in venues around Red Deer and create her own venues. Michelle feels truely blessed with what she would call her "Dream Job". Right now, Michelle is working on her first Solo Album Release "You're Not Alone", for June 1st and is planning a Canadian tour for this summer, 2011. Michelle had had the opportunity to record an album with Morgan McKee, who was one of her teachers at Red Deer College. With him and all her musician buds behind her, they have created an album that is very diverse, eclectic and is a product of many creative minds. Michelle plans to release the album in November 2011.
