Bio:: MONA SUZANN - BIOGRAPHY Mona Suzann, Singer, Composer, Business & Music Coach Born in Germany, German/Austrian/Czech Ancestry One of the most beautiful voices in Germany. Mona Suzann can look back on engagements in German, Europe, Brazil and at sea, with her own groups and as a guest singer of jazz, soul jazz and musica Brasileira, on the “dream ship” MS-Berlin and for companies such as Daimler Benz, Siemens and LBS, as well as cultural trendsetters like Antenne 1 and Welle Fidelitas, jazz clubs, festivals and much more! She also runs her own vocal performance school, Jump! and is a personal coach for business and music. Mona attended the Johannes Gutenberg School for Applied Graphic Design in Stuttgart in the 1980s and worked as a graphic designer in the advertising industry and as a graphics editor for Stuttgarter Zeitung/Stuttgarter Nachrichten until 2003. Musical training: Primarily self-taught, singing workshop with Greetje Kauffeld (NL) and Sany Lomax (NY). 1996 - 2000 mental training workshops with Kenny Werner (jazz pianist, intermediate trainer, USA), as well as landmark education seminars (personality development, mental training, philosophy). She has worked primarily as a musician, composer and vocal coach since 2002 and began working as a business coach in 2009. Mona developed the vocal training concept Jump!, taught at Popmusic School Fellbach from 2002-2006 and founded her own private vocal performance school Jump! Vocalschool in Stuttgart in 2005. Mona has performed live with her own groups since the beginning of the 1990s, working with jazz, Brazilian music and soul jazz. Work as a guest singer includes the BIG BANDS at UNI TÜBINGEN and PH LUDWIGSBURG, LUMBERJACK BIG BAND GÖPPINGEN and on the HISS CD “Polka für die Welt” (Polka for the World). Mona has performed joint concerts with the jazz pianists CHRISTOPH SPENDEL and MARTIN SCHRACK and given solo performances of latin jazz in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is also one of the co-founders of BEIJA BRASIL (musica brasileira). She has performed for companies such as Daimler Benz, Siemens and LBS, as well as cultural trendsetters like Antenne 1 and Welle Fidelitas, as well as at jazz clubs, festivals and much more (jazz and MPB). Other performances include work as a guest singer on the “dream ship” MS-Berlin (on sea across all of Europe). She began preproduction on her own German-language jazz compositions with the OBJ JENNE-BAND and the guest musicians STEFAN HISS (accordion) and DALMÁ LIMA (percussion). She is currently exploring fusion jazz and produced her debut CD in 2008 at the legendary Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg with the musicians STEFAN GROSSEKATHÖFER, CHRIS LACHOTTA and CHRISTIAN KRISCHKOWSKY, released on Bauer’s own Chaos label. The current band with STEFAN GROSSEKATHÖFER, RENÉ KASTLER, PATRICK “PACO” MÜLLER and THOMAS KELTSCH gave a successful CD release concert in Theaterhaus Stuttgart in January of 2009. Already in autumn 2009 she performed at the Dresden Jazz Festival and Quickstar Productions Baltimore, USA released her song “Eine Spur tiefer” on the compilation “Goin’ Back Home”. In December 2010 Mona’s song “In meiner Haut” was nominated to the German Rock & Pop Award 2010.and – as one of the best 20 singers – she was a finalist in Wiesbaden at the German Rock & Pop Award 2010.
