AKA MuscleMouth. In LA living with my wife, who was my high school band president. We were both Judson High School band presidents actually. That makes us like Bill and Hillary. I'm Bill without the intern, and she's Hillary without the Obama.

John "MuscleMouth" Lugo is a professional performance trombonist and composer/arranger currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. He has performed and/or recorded with George Clinton as well as members of Parliament/Funkadelic, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Frank Zappa's band, The Circle Jerks, Bad Brains, Herbie Hancock's band, Public Enemy, Jackson Browne's band, The Temptations, Chuck Berry's band, The Skatalites, Chaka Khan's band, Sun Ra Arkestra, Kool and the Gang, Magnificent Bastards, The Time, Pat Kelly, The Juicy Bananas, Mandrill, Eels, Sexual Chocolate (Coming To America), Graham Central Station, Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, Brides of Funkenstein and Fishbone. He is a veteran of the Vans Warped Tour, has appeared on MTV numerous times with Robi Draco Rosa (Menudo) and can be heard on the New York Times website performing behind some of the biggest names in film. Look for his horn arrangements and performances on the upcoming Trulio Disgracias album as well as his recordings with The Bashments, Cousin Junebug, Watts Ensemble, Marcus Very Ordinary, Thelonious Monster, Bucketfunk, Soul Turtle and many others. His solo projects are released under the name MuscleMouth. John Lugo is also a composer in the classical medium. Albums and sheet music are available through E-TIP Records and E Tu Productions Limited music publishers.
