- Omega Theory came into being in August of 2019 after Rich Nakatsu and Lora Schallert's previous band, Fynnie’s Basement, suddenly disbanded. Rich contacted Michael Ball who at the time had recently departed Ghosts of the Pacific. From there, the drive to build something better took root. In early September 2019, Patrick was added on guitar after an audition that just felt “right” for everyone.
We performed our debut show on November 23, 2019 as part of “TWTYE"s Locals are Coming” music festival at Tony V’s Garage in Everett, Washington. Since that show, our fan base has steadily grown.
After the 2 year Pandemic, Omega Theory re-emerged from the ashes with a new perspective on the music. Michael Ball left the band, and was replaced with Scott Sandefur as the new drummer. Rich and Lora has been getting together to record, and slowly releasing new material to major streaming platforms such as Spotify, YouTube Music, Amazon, etc. Omega Theory is slowly gaining traction not only in the local music scene, but also some attention to international indie radio stations as well.
We are absolutely humbled by how far we've come, and being supported by our friends and fans! We won't let you down! We're going to continue unleashing songs after songs until we can't do it anymore!
