Formed in July of 2000, The Sleepin' Dogs have been honing in on their craft for ten years now. Listening to local peers' bands and artists like Ryan Adams, The Decemberists, Rodney Crowell, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and many more. The Sleepin' Dogs offer a clear and concise sound where lyrics/words stand out above the music but it still has the volume and drive to get the crowd excited. With the pairing of acoustic/electic guitar, teamed with harmonicas and plenty of background vocals, and a great rhythm section. The Sleepin' Dogs have found a sound all their own. Randy Steffen the lead singer/songwriter spent a few years in Nashville, TN learning how to write effective songs. Guitarist, Zach Rowe went to school at Loyola University in Chicago, Il, where he graduated with a degree in music. Bassist, Joe Seiter and drummer, Adam Record grew up listening to their older brothers play in a rock n roll cover band in the Cincinnati area.
